MUST is the independent Manchester United supporters' trust, an industrial and provident society composed of Manchester United supporters. We are recognised as the official Manchester United supporters' trust by Supporters Direct. Supporters Direct was set up by Her Majesty's Government and funded by public money to encourage and facilitate supporter ownership of football clubs at every level of League football.

It is the convention of the groups of supporters which organise under this aegis as community-based, not-for-profit Industrial and Provident Societies, to call themselves by the names of their clubs. Hence, 'Wrexham Supporters Trust', 'Exeter City Supporters Trust', and so on.

Given the potential for confusion, we wish to make perfectly clear that although we are the Official Supporters Trust for Manchester United FC, we are not officially sanctioned, approved or supported by Manchester United Ltd.

We are ever mindful of the importance of strong security procedures in an online world. To this end we use Secure Socket Layers (SSL) to safeguard your personal information. When this happens:

  1. Your internet browser checks our security certificate (issued by an independent third party) to make sure that the site you are connecting to is truly the MUST site and not someone else intercepting.
  2. Your internet browser and our server then exchange the unique codes that will be used to scramble ("encrypt") and descramble ("decrypt") the information being sent.
  3. The browser and server then start talking using the encryption. When this happens you'll see the little lock icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your browser and the web page address will begin with https://. This shows the pages are being processed securely.

If you have any questions about the security of this site, please open a Help Desk ticket and we will assist you as quickly as possible.

We take your privacy seriously as well. We are in full compliance with the Data Protection Act and hold the personal information you provide when you take up a MUST membership in strict confidence.
